Love from Catherine and Steph + FOTD : Est Emotional Multiple Eyes 05

Happy Monday everyone! My fall blog sale is finally up! Have a look at Ohh... pretty! {Blog Sale}!

I received a love package from the ever so lovely Catherine of Straweberry Mochi a bit more than a week ago. Actually, I asked her to cp the Lippmann polish for me, but she said it was a gift. Besides, she also sent me a super cute Rilakkuma towel and pencil. Thank you, Cat! ♥

Catherine, be sure to come upon a package in your mail soon! ;)

Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer ~ Waking Up In Vegas

Gray is one of my favorite colors, so why not gray on the nails too? It's a great shade for fall, and when I saw the September's Vanity Fair cover on which Lady Gaga was wearing it, I knew I had to get it!

Waking Up In Vegas is described as a 'putty-liscious gray' with a creme finish.

The polish goes on totally evenly without streaking, and you achieve a full opaqueness in just one coat. What I noticed at once, was this is one of the quickest drying nail polishes I might have ever used.

Some time back in August, the lovely Steph of DSK Blogs Now and DSK Jewelry sent me a gift along with my 18'' heart chain purchase. Thank you, Steph! ♥

The design and quality of DSK Jewelry is always top!

Silver Lotus Earrings

Super shiny! Sadly, I didn't have any opportunity to wear it yet.

DSK Heart Necklace ~ Rose

Such a pretty color! Really pops out with a simple outfit!

Here is the requested a look with my Est Emotional Multiple Eyes ~ 05!

I applied it in the way shown above. Color used are white (A), amber (B), dark purplish steel (C).

I like the texture of the eyeshadows a lot! In comparison to the Est Dual Emotion Eyes, I would say the shadows in the Emotional Multiple Eyes are smoother, more pigmented and the shimmer is also finer.

I think, Emotional Multiple Eyes ~ 05 is neither a warm nor a cool toned palette, just something in between. I have always preferred cool shades, but surprisingly I'm really getting to love wearing slightly warmer shades this season.

- Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color N ~ 02 allover the eyelids as a base
- color A allover the lids up to the brow bone (I applied it a bit underneath)
- color B from the lashline upwards up to your crease (I have no crease, since have monolids, but yeah...)

- color C along the lashline, in the outer corners, and along the bottom lashline halfway inwards.
- added color A in the inner corner of the eyes and along the inner lower lashline

- blend blend blend...
- tighline the upper and lower lashline

- curl the lashes and apply mascara (what a difference curler + mascara does to the eyes, huh?!)

Oops, I should have blended the white shade on the inner corner a bit better, haha...

I did this look last week, when my skin was breaking out a lot. Thanks god, there is concealer and foundation, haha... See, how the rose heart necklace stands out? So beautiful!

Please ignore the acne scars (which have luckily already faded much more by now)!

I love the dark purplish steel color a lot! I think it totally harmonizes with the amber color, and it is such a great shade to create a deepening effect on the outer corner of the eyes.

Wearing Paul & Joe Lipstick N ~ 29 Mademoiselle and Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer ~ 121 Beige Guitar on top on my lips. Hehe, I wear 121 Beige Guitar very often, because it is one of my favorite lipglosses! It adds such a pretty glossy finish and goes well with any lipstick!

I thought a light bronze touch to my complexion goes really well with this look! For base makeup, I used the MAC Mineralize SPF 15 and the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural on top. This combo makes my skin look really flawless, no? Even the pores on my nose are so much less visible!

That day I used a very light moisturizer before I applied the foundation, thus my complexion ended up a bit on the matte side.

I hope, tomorrow is going to be a sunnier day than this rainy and gray Monday!

- Dior Diorskin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer ~ 001 Ivoire / Ivory
- MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation ~ NC 15
- MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural ~ Light

- Clinique Fresh Bloom Allover Color ~ 02 Posy

- Paul & Joe Lipstick N ~ 29 Mademoiselle
- Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer ~ 121 Beige Guitar

- Jill Stuart Jelly eye Color N ~ 02 gold light
- Est Emotional Multiple Eyes ~ 05
- Lunasol W Eyeliner ~ 04 Deep Back
- Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara

- Shu Uemura Hard Forumla Eybrow Pencil ~ 9

Oh, and I've already done a look with my new Dior 5 Couleurs ~ 844 Misty Mauve palette today too! Oh my gosh... I'm soooo loving the palette!

Even my sister, who I am not able to vow easily for usual, said this palette was a great pick, when she saw my look with it today! ;)

Yes, another haul post! The last one for this fall... hopefully!

Are you already sick of seeing haul posts from me? If so, you better skip this post, haha... But this should hopefully be my last haul for this fall now! :)

The bad thing is, just right after I decided to cut down my spendings on makeup, I got tempted by Steph of DSK Blogs NOW after reading her blog entry. She made me fall in love with the Tom Ford Private Blend Lip Color in Blush Nude. Oh no, my purse is already weeping!

Well so much about my never ending lemmings, haha... Here is what I got! Let's begin with the base makeup items!

SHISEIDO Refining Makeup Primer SPF 15

The Refining Makeup Primer SPF 15 has been newly released about one or two month ago along with a few other base makeup products. If you are interested to find out more about Shiseido's base makeup go to Shiseido's official website.

As you might already know (since I think, I said it before), I have never been big on using primers, simply because I don't like to use an extra step before applying foundation. But other than that - what is actually more important is the fact that my sensitive skin has always felt uncomfortable with most primers I tried out.

So, I found out that my skin easily reacts to products containing a high amount of silicones.

This primer does contain silicones too, but it did not trouble my skin in any way so far (I have used it a few times since I got it last week). I actually really like it! It feels lightweight, smoothes out my pores on my nose nicely, and gives a sheer glow to my skin.

It has a creamy consistency that comes out tinted, but it blends translucent into skin.

MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation ~ NC 15

This is my second one, since I already hit pan on the one I got several months ago, and it has slightly oxidized, thus became a bit darker in shade. You can read my review about this foundation here.

It comes sealed with a foil like this.

Accidentally scratched the cream foundation when drawing off the foil. Oops! This cream foundation is perfect for the colder season, since it's very moisturizing.

In order to keep the cream foundation as fresh as possible, I had the idea of putting a sheet of aluminium foil (those you use in the kitchen) on top of it. Since the foil is so thin, the compact still closes properly. I know it does not look that pretty, but it totally serves the purpose.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural ~ Light

I have used this powder some time ago, but then gave it to my sister, because I got it in Light Medium, which was a bit too dark for me.

The powder gives a semi translucent finish providing a very smooth and velvety finish finish. This mineral powder can be used on top of any foundation or just on its own. When I use it on its own, I always use a concealer on red spots and dark areas beforehand, since the coverage is on the sheer side.

MAC Duo Fibre Powder / Blush Brush #131

I have always been quite bad at applying blushes evenly, but rather patchy instead (my sister always makes fun of me about my blush application actually). But my problem seem to be finally solved now with this amazing brush!

The soft duo fibre bristles pick up just the right amount of color, applies the blush super evenly, and the flat shape of the brush fits my cheeks to perfection. Yay, I finally found my holy grail blush brush!

Onto the point makeup I got!

MAC Powder Blush ~ Fleur Power (Satin)

For the fall season, I think 'darker' colors for the cheeks look really pretty. Fleur Power is described as a 'soft bright pinkish coral'. This shade is very versatile, since it flatters both cool and warm skintones.

Really pretty! By the way, Fleur Power is currently sold out in the MAC online shop!

ESTEE LAUDER Blush ~ Sunset Coral (Michael Kors Very Hollywood Collection 2010)

This limited edition collection has been release some time in the summer, but the shop still had some of the items left.

I love the sophisticated and very feminine packaging a lot! Even though this blush is named Sunset Coral, I don't find it to be a coral shade, but rather a bright pink with a hint of coral to it.

I believe, it's because my natural skintone already has quite a strong pink undertone to it. You know, the least you wanna do, if you have a pink undertone is to enhance the pinkness, right?

Or do you wish to look like miss Piggy? :p

Sorry Miss Piggy, I have no intentions to insult you!

Sorry for the bad swatch! Have to work on figuring out how to improve taking swatches.

DIOR 5 Couleurs Couture Color Eyeshadow Palette ~ 844 Misty Mauve (Fall 2010)

I have been a bit hesitant about getting this palette, because there is something in my mind that keeps telling me I can't pull off mauve.

Well, I opposed this time! The mauve shades in Misty Mauve are more on the cool side, and definitely tending towards neutral, which makes it a very wearable palette.

I can't wait to wear these mauve shades! So pretty for fall, isn't it?

Now, I'm really curious: what products did you get your hands on for this fall?

FOTD with Est Multiple Emotional Eyes ~ 05 coming next! Also, I'll be having a fall blog sale next week, so stay tuned! Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Stay pretty!

Haul : Dior, Estee Lauder, Guerlain + FOTD : Light Berry Eyes For Fall with Est Dual Emotion Eyes 03

Hey everyone! I'm so happy it's finally start of the week, since weekend has been crazily busy (due to work of course) as usual. Yet, I hope you all had a great weekend!

Ahh... nothing pleasres me more than having time to spend on beauty blogging, haha...

Above, it's the goodies I got last week. You must have already noticed how much I love hauling cosmetics, huh? And honestly, I gathered some more stuff again today (will show you in the next post!) My purse is weeping! :p

DIOR Capture Totale One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum

Run out of the Kanebo Sensai Cellular Performance Hydrachange Essence, which I have been using on a daily basis, so I got this to try. Yes, I'm concerned about aging! :)

I like the hygienic pump dispenser bottle. The bottle contains 30 ml of product.

I wish all the declaration may be true, haha... well, we all are aware of the fact that these product descriptions are designed to make us buy the product in a jiffy, right? However, I hope there is some trueness behind it!

I have been using it for a week now every evening before applying my daily moisturizer. Aside from the fact that my skin does feel softer and smoother than before, I have not noticed any visible improvements yet. Maybe it's still too early. Will report again in a couple of weeks!

DIOR Instant Gentle Cleansing Oil

Dior has just renewed their cleansing products, and this is one of the products out of the cleansing range. I've never used a cleansing oil before, but wanted to give this a try.

The consistency is not like a runny oil, but rather feels like a gel-oil with no greasiness. I've also been using this for one week now. I think it's fine, yet I can't cope with the scent. Can't even describe the smell. But it's definitely too strong for my taste.

I don't know about you, but the scent of a product does easily turn me off - unfortunately.

Apart from this, it does a good job at gently removing makeup. There is no oily residue after rinsing off with water, and skin feels nicely cleansed.

ESTEE LAUDER Pure Color Nail Lacquer ~ Surreal Violet (Blue Dahlia Collection 2010)

Even though I'm not wearing nail polishes that often for usual (except I'm on holiday), I love to hoard them, haha...

Honestly, who could resist a shade that makes you fall in love with? Surreal Violet is a really pretty grayish purple with very fine golden shimmer to it.

Such a beautiful shade for the fall season! Haven't worn it yet, but my sister already grabbed it, and it looks amazing on her! Can't wait to wear it myself!

I also got my hands on a blush from Guerlain a couple weeks ago, that I have not shown you yet.

GUERLAIN Blush 4 Éclacts ~ Caresse De L'Aube 07 (Spring 2010)

The texture of the blush is amazingly soft and silky. The pigmentation is superb, so don't get misled by the soft colors!

You can use the every single four shades on its own or mix them together.

These soft shades look really pretty on lighter skintone.

This is the color you get when you mix all four shades together.

There is no shimmer to it, but it doesn't look totally matte either. It's a beautiful velvety translucent kind of finish. Caresse De L'Aube is neither cool toned nor warm toned, thus I think it will flatter all skintones on the fairer side.

I did a look with the Est Dual Emotion Eyes ~ 03 last week. Initially, I thought this palette would turn out a bit of plummy on me. To my disappointment, it did not. Instead, it created kind of a berry look on me, which I actually quite like.

So, here is my light berry eyes for fall!

Surprisingly, I find the pink in this palette to be really flattering on me, although I can't pull off pink that well in general due to my extremely puffy eyelids.

Did you notice, I changed the shape of my eyebrows a bit? I have been trying to draw them a bit plumper than I used to. I noticed that my brows looked a bit too thin, which is not so flattering for my big round Asian face, haha... So, do you think my brows look better now?

I used the Shu Uemura Hard Formula eyebrow pencil, which I love to bits! The best eyebrow pencil ever for the most natural looking eyebrows!

My skin was very patchy and a bit irritated last week, but luckily already calmed down quite a bit.

I applied the Paul & Joe Pressed Powder N ~ 05 Glow mainly on my forehead, and cheekbone area, and it gives me a nice glowy complexion without looking like a disco ball. If you are looking for a glowy powder which is also able to slightly tone down redness, I highly recommend this to you!

So yeah, even though Est Dual Emotion Eyes ~ 03 didn't turn out plummy, I still like the palette a lot, because the shades are soft and create a really pretty natural berry look on me, without making me look punched, haha...

My cheeks say thanks to Catherine, my lips say thank you to Sarah! The blush and lipgloss I'm wearing here are gifts from these two lovely blogger friends!
