FOTD : Cool and casual with MAC Moon's Reflection + The Opening of www.apopofkawaii.com Giveaway by Bang Bang She Shoots

I used to think that blue eyeshadows are hard to pull off. I was always concerned about ending up too flashy with blues, but it's actually all about choosing the right shade of blue.

Here is my cool and casual blue look I did yesterday! Quick and easy for daytime...

MAC Eye Shadow ~ Moon's Reflection (Veluxe Pearl) has a gorgeous texture. Goes on super smoothly and blends effortlessly. Moon's Reflection is a blue with white pearl that looks very soft against fair skin.

I have no idea why my complexion looks so ashy and ghastly here. The lighting must have gone weird... (= . =)/

Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color N ~ 01 diamond as a base. Moon's Reflection allover the lid and along the lower lashline. Blended Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color ~ GY 913 (dark grey) along the upper lashline and on the outer corner to add some depth.

Lastly, lined the waterline with Guerlain Eye Pencil ~ Khol Me Ivory 00 to make the eyes look brighter and more open.

Again Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer ~ 257 Bikini Peach!

The pigmentation is very light, so your natural lip color will affect the color of Bikini Peach a lot. On my naturally pigmented lips, Bikini Peach turns out being a nude pinkish peach.

I really had the hardest time taking a good close up of Bikini Peach on my lips. Still not happy with this picture, but well...

Yay, doesn't Moon's Reflection match my shirt? Hehe... ;)

- Dior Diorskin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer ~ 001 Ivoire / Ivory
- Estee Lauder Nutritious Vita-Mineral Loose Powder Makeup SPF 15 ~ Intensity 1.0
- Guerlain Météorites Powder for the Face ~ Beige Chic 03

- Maquillage FAce Creator 3D ~ 55

- Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer ~ 257 Bikini Peach

- Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color N ~ 01 diamond snow
- MAC Eeshadow ~ Moon's Reflection (Veluxe Pearl)
- Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color ~ GY 913 Slate
- Makeup For Ever Aqua Eyes ~ 0L
- Shiseido Lasting Lift Mascara ~ black

Ohhhh Moon's Reflection is sooo beautiful! I love how you lined your eyes with the ivory liner too - I'll have to try that sometime! It really opens up your eyes! I haven't worn any soft blues in a really long time...

I haven't found a blue that works for me. :(

But you look so chic in blue! Moon Reflection is definitely a perfect match for your shirt. I wouldn't wear Moon Reflection, but I'd totally wear your shirt!

Oh Jess, the blue looks so pretty on u!
By the way, after seeing your bikini peach swatches, I was suddenly feeling 'desperate' to get it and it ran out all over singapore except this one shopping centre where nobody really pays attention to. So I got the last one in Singapore! Soooo Happy!!!

Yay, Guerlain Eye Pencil ~ Khol Me Ivory is my hg 'white' eyeleiner for the waterline, because it is so soft, and looks very natural.

Ohh, I'm so glad you got the last one! Hope you enjoy your Bikini Peach as much as I do! ;)

What a beautiful look :) I am always afraid of blues too! Something about it seems flashy :p But I think this blue on you is very pretty. Light pastel colors look great on fair skinned gals like yourself :) Nothing looks more radiant than a soft blue in a blue shirt! :) yes, it totally matches :)

i find you suit cool toned colours really well!

How do you find the lasting power of the Guerlain pencil on the waterline? I am still looking for one to open up my eyes since the MAC Chromagraphic pencil was a big fail.

I think you look pretty in blue. Anytime you're fair with dark hair you can pull off colors like blue, purple, and green. Great FOTD =)
