Haul : Guerlain, Dior, Estee Lauder + FOTD : Golden Spotlight / Infra-Rose + How I do my eyebrows

I promised you to show you my latest loot, right? So, without any further ado, here we go! By the way, I'm feeling really guilty after that loot, argh!

GUERLAIN Rouge G De Guerlain Jewel Lipstick Compact ~ 02 Gardenia

This is my first Rouge G, and probably the most luxurious lipstick I have ever purchased! Have you ever seen such a precious packaging for a lipstick? The tube is sleek, yet bold at the same time. That's all well and good, but we must not forget that the customer has to put up with a enormously heavy price tag though!

But honestly, the texture of Rouge G is amazing! It is super creamy, glides onto the lips extremely smoothly and is opaque with one layer. Compared to YSL Rouge Volupté, Rouge G does not sink into dry liplines, and wears much longer.

Swatched on the back of my hands in natural light. I chose 02 Gardenia, which is described as a warm neutral pink. On me it is kind of a 'my lips but better color', which I really adore.

On my lips, with indoor lighting. It reminds me a bit of Rouge Volupté Tender ~ 26 Tender Peach, which is described as a light pinkish peach on the Sephora website. See me wearing Tender Peach here!

ESTEE LAUDER Nutritious Vita-Mineral Loose Powder Makeup SPF 15

Since my MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation already hit pan, I decided to give this a try. I got it in Intensity 1.0, which is the lightest shade available.

It looks ways darker in the pot, than it applies on the skin. So, as you can see, it comes with a brush. Great for touch-ups during the day, but I will reach for my Dior Powder Foundation Brush to apply it at home. Excited to try it out! ;)

DIOR 1 Couleur Ultra-Smooth High Impact Eyeshadow ~ 616 Golden Spotlight (Summer 2010)

Golden Spotlight is a very sparkly yellowish gold color. I have always loved shades like these, so I couldn't resist to get it, after I swatched it at the counter. Wished, I didn't see it, haha...

DIOR 1 Couleur Ultra-Smooth High Impact Eyeshadow ~ 826 Infra Rose

Infra-Rose is a bright pink with fine shimmers to it, and the color payoff is very sheer. I was a bit hesitant about this, since pink always tends to make my puffy eyelids look even puffier. But who can withstand pink? :)

Swatched on the back of my hand in natural light.

Just wanted to show you how the 1 Couleur eyesahdwo compact compares to the 5 Couleurs Iridescent palette in size. Isn't the small compact just cute? It also comes with tiny velvet pouches.

DIOR Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen ~ 002

This is my favorite concealer pencil. The texture is super lightweight, hence doesn't settle into dry lines. Applies and blends easily.

This is actually the 4th time I repurchase it, hehe... I also like to use this pencil for the lip contour. This will prevent the lipstick from bleeding and covers dark shades around the mouth area.

Some time ago, I was asked to do an eyebrow tutorial. I'm used to do my eyebrows before I put on my eye makeup, but of course it doesn't matter, if you do it the other way round. I prefer using eyebrow pencils over eyebrow powders, because I can shape more precisely.

My holy grail eyebrow pencil is Shiseido Natural Eyebrow Pencil ~ GY 901 Natural Black. Both the consistency and the color is perfect. Since my natural brow hairs are very dark, I like to use soft black pencils, but I noticed most looked ways too harsh, thus fake. Brown, however looks really weird against my skin for some reason.

Shiseido Natural Eyebrow Pencil ~ GY 901 Natural Black is a greyish shade with just the right amount of brownish hues to it. Also, the pencil is not too soft nor too hard. Goes on smoothly without smudging. Eyebrow pencils with a soft consistency go on just too heavy and don't allow drawing fine strokes.

I fill in between the brow hairs with very light and short strokes following the natural shape of the eyebrows. Starting from the middle working towards the arch. Then I go back to the front part of the eyebrows and fill in the gaps. Always remember to do the front part much lighter, otherwise you will end up looking fierce !

As a last step, I always reach for a Q-tip. It is my perfect tool to touch up the shape, and to lightly smudge out harsh strokes. This will avoid the 'obviously drawn look'! And that's basically it about how I do my eyebrows!

I'm really bad when it comes to explaining things in detail, but I hope, this helped!

A quick look I did using the two Dior 1 Couleurs Ultra-Smooth High Impact Eyeshadows! The colors were perfect, since it was so such a nice sunny day!

- Dior Golden Spotlight allover the lids and inner corner of the eyes

- Infra-Rose from the lashline upwards

- tighline, and lower lashline about 1/3 inwards

- curl the lashes and put on mascara

And that's it! Quick and simple as always, hehe...!

Oh, my right eye is a bit swollen and droopy, because I accidentally poked it yesterday, when I tightlined. Ouch, it really hurt! So please excuse the somewhat unshaped right eye! (0 . o)

Sorry for the smudged eyeliner! Wearing Guerlain Rouge G ~ 02 Gardenia here! It looks brighter in the photos than it does in real life actually.

Can you see how shimmery Golden Spotlight is? I really like that though! I feel it makes my eyes sparkle, hehe... As to Infra-Rose, it is a beautiful sheer pink, but like I said, pink always enhances the puffiness of my eyes. So sad! ;(

As if my puffy eyes don't concern me enough! Having to fight under-eye bags now too! Speaking of under-eye bags, Clinique released a new product -All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage. It is a stick with a built-in rollerball to massage the eye area. I believe, I have seen such a product by Garnier.

Being the curious me, I tried the Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage (puh, what a long name!) at the counter, and it made my eyes feel super refreshed with a somewhat tightening feel afterwards. I think, I'm going to go back and get it for I really liked the cooling and refreshing effect.

Haven't worn pink blush for a while, now I'm in love with pink cheeks again! Using Jill Stuart Mix Blush ~ 05 pastel peach here. Doesn't it give me a cute and soft flush?

I really shouldn't care about the fact that pink eyeshadow makes my eyes look puffier, huh? Hey, after all pink is one of my favorite colors! :p

- Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen ~ 002
- Dior Diorskin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer ~ 001 Ivoire / Ivory
- Jill Stuart Moist Silk Powder Foundation ~ 101 Linen

- Jill Stuart Mix Blush ~ 05 pastel peach

- Guerlain Rouge G De Guerlain Jewel Lipstick Compact ~ 02 Gardenia

- Dior 1 Couleur Ultra-Smooth High Impact Eyeshadow ~ 616 Golden Spotlight
- Dior 1 Couleur Ultra-Smooth High Impact Eyeshadow ~ 826 Infra-Rose
- Guerlain Eye Pencil ~ Khol Me Ivory 000
- MAC Fluidline ~ Blitz&Glitz
- Shiseido Lasting Lift Mascara ~ Black

Jojoba of My My Makeup Reviews noticed that I'm used to wearing a pearly white eyeliner on my waterline. I do so most of the time for this instantly clears red eyes, and makes them appear quite a bit brighter! She mentioned that she has yet to figure out the right technique. In my opinion, it is all about picking the perfect 'white' eyeliner pencil!

I've tried out quite a few, and Guerlain Eye Pencil ~ Khol Me Ivory 000 turned out to be the perfect one for me, both in consistency and in shade. It goes on extremely smoothly! Pure white tends to look harsh, thus very obvious and unnatural. I suggest you to go for an off-white instead! Go and try it out yourself to see the difference! ;)

Guerlain Eye Pencil ~ Khol Me Ivory 000 swatched on the back of my hands in natural light.

Puhh... I think, this is one of the wordiest posts I have ever written, haha... I hope, you enjoyed it! Have a great weekend ahead!

FOTD : Pop N' Petrol and Glossy Nude vs. Bright Pinky Coral

I'm really into teal lately, so I've been looking forward to using my Lancome Pop N' Palette ~ 16 Pop N Petrol, which I got last week.

I think, it's a bit similar actually, apart from the fact, that this time it is shimmery, whereas the YSL look was matte. The two petrol shades still differ though. The Yves Saint Laurent's petrol is more on the blueish side, whereas the Lancome's is more tending towards green.

I don't know why the blush always shows up that intense in all my photos. Believe me, it looks subtle in real life, haha...

I only used two colors from the palette. the silvery cream allover the lids and in the inner corner of the eyes. The petrol from the lashline upwards and along 1/2 of the lower lashline inwards.

The petrol shadow doesn't apply the smoothest, but the pigmentation is pretty good, and it blends with no efforts. I really love the silvery cream shade a lot - instantly brightens up the eyes!

Sorry for my extremely puffy eyes again! Argh, super super annoying! Anyways, since the eyes already looked quite intense (I know, you can't see the intensity in the photos) I thought, I would go for nude lips. So, I picked the Estee Lauder Michael Kors Very Hollywood Lip Gloss ~ 34 Starlet Peach.

Then my sister came in, wearing Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté ~ 27 Rouge Paris. which I picked for her last time we went shopping. She is loving it so much that she couldn't even lend it to me for just one day, haha...

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté ~ 27 Rouge Paris

It's probably known to all that Rouge Volupté has a super creamy texture, and the color you see in the tube is exactly the color you get! Although the texture is so creamy, be sure to apply lipbalm first, since it does tend to sink into dry liplines.

Isn't Rouge Paris just beautiful? I pinched it from my sister's makeup pouch, because I had to try it with my petrol eyes! Et Voilá! Same look but with bright pinky coral lips, hehe...!

Excuse my awesome gaze please! So, how do you like the petrol eyes with Rouge Volupté ~ 27 Rouge Paris? I think, it makes the whole look appear fresher and more summery, no?

If the lipstick doesn't look that intense to you, it's because I applied it very very sheerly, for I haven't completely got over my fear of red lips, haha...

At the end, I couldn't make up my mind, if I dare to go out with so much color on my face, so I wiped off the lipstick and went back to glossy nude lips, haha...

But I do love Rouge Paris a lot! So flattering on Asian skintones! Now, I'm torn, whether I should get my hands on it myself... Well, buying lipsticks seems to have become my current addiction. :p

So, I let you decide which version you liked better! Glossy nude or bright pinky coral?

Ending this post with a sneak peak of my today's loot! Will show you the goodies in my next post! I seriously have to be good and go on a no buy now!!!

FOTD : Black Eyeliner and Cyndi + Haul : MAC, Lancome, Clarins, Sisley

I received my MAC Viva Glam Cyndi lipstick in the mail this week, which Jamilla of Makeup For Professional Asian Women helped me to get, since it was already sold out everywhere here in Austria. Thank you Jamilla for CP for me again! ♥

Actually, I wasn't interested in this lipstick at first. Thanks to Sheila of Mademoiselle Loves Beauty, who made me to try it out at the MAC counter! Thank you, Sheila! ♥ It is now my perfect red lipstick!

Well, it's not a real red actually, but beside my nudes, pinks and peaches, it is. The pink hues make the red very soft and flattering for fair skintones. People who usually look weird with bright red (like it is the case with me) should definitely give Cyndi a try! Ohh, I'm so in love!

So, let me present you Cyndi on my lips! Camwhoring time! ;)

I was trying to look cool here, instead of smiling like a cutie, but I always end up looking super fierce (and somewhat scary?) instead, haha... I'm definitely not very creative when it comes to different eye makeup looks, huh? Hello puffy eyelids!!!

I used the Lunasol Noble Shade Liner to line my upper lids, which is one of the best liquid liners ever in terms of consistency and brush tip. It dries very quickly and the brush tip is just perfect - not too soft, nor too firm! But I still need to practice a lot more to get the perfect line, haha... so please excuse the shakiness! Oh, and it is very smudge proof too!

Doesn't the Maquillage Face Creator ~ 66 Nude Tone Pink match up Cyndi perfectly? I don't know, how about you, but I like to match the blush with the lips. You find it too monotone and boring?

Argh, it seems I have gained a bit of weight recently... look at my chubby cheeks! I must cut down on junk food radically!

Speaking of Cyndi, here is the close up of my lips. Taken with indoor lighting. I think, it looks even a bit pinker in natural light. Someone asked me to do a tutorial of how I apply lipsticks, since it always looked so smooth and even on my lips.

Well, actually I just apply it directly to my lips after priming my lips with a lipbalm. This will even out any dry lines of your lips, making the lipstick go on much smoother, and you will get a nice shine too.

I used the Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus mascara here. I think, it does a good job at lengthening, but I feel it's just decent when it comes to holding the curl.

Still loving Bobbi Brown Chrome Eyeshadow ~ Pewter a lot. Not the most springlike color, but still wearable, since it is so neutral. You see, why I'm not satisfied with Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus Mascara now, don't you? It's just not working for my lashes, sigh!

Now you gotta tell me that you love me smiling, haha...!

Yay, my hair has grown quite a bit, huh? If you followed my blog for a while, you must know about my troubles with growing my hair. I got over my laziness today and straightened my hair with my Revlon straightening iron, which I purchased recently.

My bangs have also grown out to nearly no bangs... What do you think, should I get a trim for my bangs? Just a random note - I really dislike the background of my bathroom! The tilings look awful in the photos! However, it is the place with the best lighting in the whole house!

End of camwhoring, haha...

I hope you liked this look!

Onto the haul of this week!

MAC Viva Glam Lipstick ~ Cyndi

Like I said above, Cyndi is my first 'red' lipstick ever, and I super love it! The texture of the lipstick is not very soft and buttery, but still goes on well. But make sure to use a lipbalm before you apply it, if you have drier lips.

Swatched on the back of my hands in natural light. You can see the pink hues here pretty well! Lovely color, isn't it?

LANCOME Pop N' Palette ~ 16 Pop N Petrol (Spring 2010)

I haven't bought anything from Lancome for quite a while, but this palette caught my attention. To begin with, I think the case of this eyeshadow palette, which has a semi glossy surface looks really beautiful and elegant.

Neutrals like grey and khaki have always been my favorite shades, and petrol seems to have become my current obsession, hehe...

The texture of the shadows are not the smoothest, but the color payoff is pretty good. The shades of Pop N Petrol don't look that springlike to me, but still pretty enough that I had to get my hands on it, haha...

Swatched on the back of my hands (NC 15 skintone) in natural light. The colors are: petrol, greenish silver, silvery cream, khaki.

CLARINS Lift Fermeté Body Firming Cream

I got this, because Ena of Shanghainese Dumpling raved about it on her blog! The consistency is very creamy, spreads easily and absorbs completely with a very fresh feeling behind. I have used twice until now, so I can't tell much about the effectiveness yet. I'll keep you informed!

SISLEY Neck Cream

We all know how important it is to care for the skin around the neck as well, don't we? My neck is very dry and wrinkly by nature, so I'm in need of something very rich. I got some sample sachets of this neck cream some time ago, and was really amazed. I could definitely see how much firmer and smoother my neck became.

It has a pretty rich texture, yet absorbs with no residue behind. It has a comfortable light herbal scent to it, which evaporates soon. Sisley Neck Cream is honestly the most effective neck cream I tried so far!

That's it for now! Have a great weekend everyone! Oh, and sorry for suspending the reviews! :/
