Spring Haul from Mihokoshop : Maquillage, Jill Stuart, Lunasol + New Blog Layout

Hello everyone! I feel, it's been a long time since my last post... Well, first of all, I want to thank everyone who commented on my previous post! I honestly appreciate your supportive and caring words! I'm still very stressed, but at least most issues have kinda solved. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the weekend!

Today I have a haul post for you! I ordered some Japanese spring items from Mihoko Shop again!

MAQUILLAGE Eye Creator 3D ~ BE 763 (from Spring 2010 Collection)

BE763 consists of all very sheer and neutral shades, that are perfect to create the nude look. Since I don't have such light nude shades yet, this palette is a good complement to my collection.

The shell prints on the two cream shadows are really cute to look at, but fade once you sweep over the surface.

MAQUILLAGE Face Creator 3D ~ 55

I got this blush for doing a natural bronzed look. Since the shades are sheer, I believe it will look gorgeous on fair Asian skintones! I didn't have the chance to try it yet though.

JILL STUART Moist Silk Powder Foundation ~ 101 linen

By now, many of you might already know that I'm a fan of compact powder foundations, don't you? I got a sample of this powder foundation some time ago, and both the texture and color match were really good, so I decided to purchase it!

The compact case is typical Jill Stuart. Romantic and princess-y. Well, definitely beautiful to look at, but in no ways comparable to the top quality materials used by Guerlain, Chanel or Dior in my opinion.

The compact has a mirror inside, but to my regret there is no separate compartment for the sponge. Not really hygienic I think, since I usually don't cleanse the sponge after each use.

LUNASOL Shining Water Eyes ~ EX 04 Shining Beige (Spring 2010 Collection)

Thank you, Mihoko! She gave me this item as a gift! The Shining Water Eyes are available in 5 colors, which are all limited.

That's it for my spring haul! Reviews and looks will follow soon! ;)

Last but not least, I hope you enjoy my new blog layout! Well... sort of, since I changed the colors, header banner photo and some smaller details only!

R E V I E W : Dior Crème De Rose Lip Balm SPF 10

Hey everyone! How are you all doing? I myself, had some private 'problems', so I have not been really happy lately, what lead to the lack of motivation for anything. Well... life is not beautiful all the time, right?

Today, I'm doing a review about Dior Crème De Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm SPF 10 - the new lip balm by Dior, that has been released with the Dior Spring 2010 Boudoir Lacy Collection.

Crème De Rose comes in a beautiful little vintage-styled container with the CD logo engraved in the center. Now, I have to admit that I was tempted to get this product all because I couldn't resist the lovely packaging. But I know, I'm not the only one, haha...

Crème De Rose has a rose scent to it, which is not overbearing, but I have to note that I think, it might not be everyones' cup of tea. I myself don't love, yet doesn't dislike it (I prefer totally unscented lip balms).

Texture and benefits

It has a thick, not sticky texture that applies smoothly onto the lips leaving the lips feeling totally moisturized, soothed and plump. Not only is Crème De Rose a good lip balm itself, but it does a great job as a lip primer before applying lipsticks and lipglosses as well!

Since I don't have very dry or chapped lips, I can't tell how well it works in that case. But people with normal dry lips will surely be pleased with the very moisturizing benefits. I have noticed that dry lip lines immediately disappear ofter I applied it, making the lips feel and look ways smoother.

Very moisturizing and soothing lip balm! The only downside of this product that I can think of might be the fact, that you have to use your finger for application, which is not the most hygienic thing. This, however, doesn't bother me much.

Price: 4/5
Packaging: 4/5
Texture and scent: 4/5
Results: 5/5

The must have care for damaged lips. The lip balm allies the expertise of Dior research in nutrition to the delicate smoothness of rose petals. All its nourishing power comes from the rare and precious Damask Rose essential oil extract together with an anti-aging complex and Shea butter. Lips are instantly soothed, moisturized, beautifully plumped and soft. Totally addictive!

Hope, this review was helpful!
Have a great weekend!

FOTD : Romantic Valentine Look + Sanctuary Heart Earrings

I did this look about two weeks ago, which I scheduled to be published today. Exactly four days before Valentine's Day, haha...

I felt like doing a look with liquid liner, which I don't do very often, since liquid liners are so difficult to use on my weird-shaped eyes. I have to draw a really thick line so that it is visible at all once I open my eyes, since I have so called 'hidden double lids'. I believe, the technical term is called 'epicanthic fold'.

Means, the tiny fold is overlapped by the upper lid, when my eyes are open. It's hard to explain in words, but I hope, you kinda get an idea what I mean.

Anyways, here is a lightly winged liquid liner look, which I feel turned out quite romantic. So, I decided this to be my Romantic Valentine Look!

Juli from Sanctuary sent me a pair of her hand-made swarvoski heart earrings. Isn't it adorable? Thank you, Juli! I looove it!

You can buy this and many other beautiful hand-made jewelry pieces in Juli's blog shop at jusanctuary.blogspot.com!

A closer look at the earrings! Isn't the heart chain so dainty and cute? And perfect for Valentine's Day too!

Since I wanted the eyes to look really clean with all attention to the lightly winged eyeliner, I didn't line my lower lid. I just applied mascara to my (very sparse) lower lashes, lined the waterline with a white pencil liner to make the eyes look fresher and brighter.

To add a bit of definition to my flat eyes, I used the pale gold color on the inner corner, and along the lower lashline halfway out. The medium taupe color in an almond shape on the whole eyelid, and along the lower lashline halfway in. Lastly, I added the sparkly silver shadow right on the ball of the eyelids.

In this close up, it indeed seems as if I used another color on the outer corner, but I actually didn't. I have no idea why it looks like that though! I'm sure this look would have turned out much nicer with falsies on, but I have to confess, that I'm unable to handle with falsies. ;/

On my cheeks I used the SUQQU Blend Cheeks ~ 05 Kasanebeni once again! I really have neglected this blush for too long! Why? I really like the soft peachy flush it gives me!

Maquillage Moisture Rouge (Sheer Type) ~ RS 713 on my lips! This lipstick goes on super smooth and has a watery feel on the lips. There is a light metallic shimmer to it, which is luckily not over the top. I appreciate the glossy finish and the moist texture. RS 717 is a cool-toned rose color, which will flatter most Asian skintones with a fair complexion. I'm glad it showed up on my pigmented lips!

- Dior Diorskin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer ~ 001 Ivoire / Ivory
- Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation ~ OC 01

- SUQQU Blend Cheeks ~ 05 Kasanebeni

- Maquillage Moisture Rouge (Sheer Type) ~ RS 713

- Lunasol Lighting For Eyes ~ 04 Neutral
- Lunasol Geminate Liner ~
- Shiseido Lasting Lift Mascara
- Dior Diorshow Black Out Waterproof ~ 099

Ending this post with this doll-like (picnik-ed) picture of me, haha... Just a random note: the bf said I looked like a 8 year old school girl in this photo here, haha... Oh, dear! Happy Valentine, everyone!

Oh, and I received a love package from Akisa from akisalove.com last week too! I'll show you what I got in one of my following posts! So, stay tuned! ;)

Update about my blogger photo problem...

First of all, a big thanks to everyone who commented on my previous post, and tried to help. I really appreciate how much you guys care about my dilemma!

It's no use though! By deleting my complete google account, I automatically (unwittingly) deleted all the previously uploaded photos onto my blog, since all these were saved in the Picasa Web Album, which is part of the google account product.

Thus, I've started to re-upload the most recent photos. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to re-upload all photos, since they are not on my computer anymore. Means, I'll have to delete quite a few posts from my blog. Ahh... how painful! Well, seems I have learned my lesson, haha...

So, if you ever decide to switch your blog to another google account, make sure, you don't delete your Picasa Web Album!!! Otherwise you will end up like me! :/

I won't be able to edit all posts at once, so please apologize the temporary inconvenience, dear readers! Thank you for your understanding!

Sorry! + I think I'm gonna go insane...!

Hi everyone! First of all, I wanted to apologize for the lack of posts recently! It's just, I'm again really busy, and thing won't change until March. Sighhhh...!

But what is even worse than that is that I think I'm gonna go insane! All my photos here on my blog don't show up anymore all of a sudden! Instead of that, there are only blank fields or red x's!! Can you still see my photos? I've checked my blog on my bf's computer, and it's just the same! All my photos seem to be broke!

I really don't know what to do now, to have it fixed (hopefully, there is a way to fix it!!). Did you have this problem too? Is there anyone who could help me (before I get a mental breakdown), please?

Oh my god, I hope all my photos aren't lost for good! By the way, could this problem be caused by switching my blog to a new google account? Because I've registered a new google account just a few days ago, and running my blog from this account now, since I've deleted my old google account.

So again, please let me know, if you can help me! Thanks a lot in advance!
